It started with a simple conversation.
Silver Roots Companion began with a gap too many families know well. Family caregivers were not asking for much. Just a few hours to exhale, run an errand, sleep, or simply sit in silence without being needed. But respite care rarely works that way. Most services require advance planning or long minimum commitments, and caregiver burnout does not schedule itself. That gap is exactly what Regina and Jennifer built Silver Roots Companion to fill.
Regina Browne has spent 13 years in elder care, supporting families through some of life's most tender seasons. She has pursued continuous training in dementia and Alzheimer's care, and treasures the quiet moments spent listening to her clients' stories, memories, and wisdom. Through that work, she has seen firsthand the growing need for compassionate support, not only for elders, but for the family caregivers who so often go overlooked.
Jennifer Kreiter has built her career caring for families as a prenatal and postpartum doula and newborn care specialist, bringing hands-on care, reassurance, and a calm, steady presence to families in their most vulnerable days. As a Montessori teacher, she learned to honor each person's dignity and independence, meeting people where they are.
Together, they built Silver Roots with a simple mission: to give families peace of mind and the reprieve they deserve, while creating a professional, sustainable path for caregivers to share their gifts with those who need them most.
